Pinhole Narrative assignment
this is a collage of 35mm exposures that i shot on an experimental "matchbox pinhole camera" using 400 ASA black and white film. i was very surprised that i got any images at all out of this roll of film as i followed NONE of the rules for exposure timing. most of these exposures were shot inside a Costco Warehouse store in Danville, California and were given between 30 seconds and 2 minute exposures. the two shots of myself were taken in bright light sitting inside my car; thus were only given 5-15 second exposures. overall i was delighted that i got any images at all. whether i will attempt to do this again? i doubt it very much. i don't have the mind for all the mathematical calculations required to determine suitable exposure times or pinhole sizes.

WooHoo!
i just got a phone call from Action Photo. they developed my roll of MatchBox Pinhole film and said that there ARE images. they are going to make a set of prints for me that i can pick up on Thursday. i'll scan them at home and have my assignment done in time for critique on Monday.

calculations for how to convert the size of your pinhole from millimeters to inches? how bleeding small are the tools we need to measure these effing holes? sorry, just going a little crazy trying to get a decent photo. don't mind me!

Rainy day bird sighting
this guy drives around looking for Hummers, and then takes a photo of himself giving them the finger. i think that is such a high concept.
